80 consultants attend the Windows 8 forum evening

On Wednesday 8 February, a forum evening was held in collaboration with Copenhagen .NET User Group (CNUG). 

More than 80 consultants turned up to hear Thomas Castøe Martinsen and Martin Jepsen’s review of Windows 8, which is just around the corner. First, they looked at how Metro style apps for Windows 8 are developed using C# and .NET. 

Then they took a closer look at the possibilities offered by WinRT (Windows Runtime).

Both parts of the review were based on practical examples and demonstrations.

During the course of the evening, the speakers revealed that the beta version of Windows 8 was released on 29 February.
