Grand Opening in Colombia

ProData Consult Colombia opened its doors for the first time at a grand opening held on the 16th of October 2008 in Bogotá on the roof of the exclusive Regency Hotel.

Denmark’s official representative from the Danish Colombian Consulate began the evening by telling the assembled guests of the excellent and profitable basis there now exists for relations between Colombian and Danish companies. Ricardo Rodrígues Corsi, ProData Consult’s Colombian CEO, informed guests of the service that ProData Consult can provide to companies in Colombia and across South America: expert-level IT consultancy.

This was followed by Patrick Dunaway, ProData Consult’s South American General Manager, introducing ProData Consult’s international strategy and a number of the new and exciting challenges which ProData Consult will face as the first Danish IT consultancy company to operate in Colombia.

The more than 80 guests were drawn from representatives of the 200 largest companies in South America including Microsoft South America, Shell, Pfizer, SAP and Oracle; one of the reasons ProData Consult Colombia have been so busy servicing a large number of Columbian and multi-national companies since opening for business.

ProData Consult Colombia currently has 125 certified IT consultants. Since there is a widespread lack of high-skilled IT consultants throughout South-America, ProData Consult Colombia has entered into an agreement with two of the largest software companies, SAP and Oracle. Amongst other things they will provide technical training to consultants with some knowledge of SAP and in doing so, strengthen SAP uptake, further increasing the need for highly-skilled SAP consultants.
