Client Seminar in Oslo
Client Seminar in Oslo, on nearshoring in Poland
On Thursday, 19 June, ProData Consult gave a seminar in Oslo for Norwegian companies on the increasingly topical issue of nearshoring of IT consultancy services.
Project Manager Geir Kallmyr from Lyse Energy, who has been successfully using ProData Consult nearshoring services in Poland, was invited as the keynote speaker. Kallmyr shared his experiences with the nearshoring concept, with specific attention to the following points:
• When is it advantageous to outsource to other countries?
• What preparation must be done before you start nearshoring?
• How to integrate consultants from other countries into the business?
• What levels of competences can be expected from foreign consultants?
• How to coordinate projects and tasks between several countries.
• Advantages and disadvantages – and unexpected pitfalls.
• What cost savings can be gained with nearshoring and in which areas?
• What Lyse Energy wanted from nearshoring – did the results meet expectations?
ProData Consult CEO Søren Rode spoke about the ProData Consult nearshoring concept in Warsaw, touching on the following:
• The process used to select our Polish consultants.
• The consultants’ competence and quality assurance.
• How to get started with outsourcing.
• What to be aware of when choosing a nearshoring or outsourcing model.
• And what is required to succeed with outsourcing.
The seminar lasted about three hours, and after the presentations, a light lunch was served and there was an opportunity to take up individual questions on outsourcing and nearshoring.
